At just eight years old, she began studying Chinese calligraphy, an art rooted in precision, rhythm, and spiritual awareness. By the age of ten, Maxine progressed into Chinese brush painting, carrying forward the philosophy and discipline of calligraphy while expanding into imagery and symbolic expression. In 1997, Maxine moved to the United States to further her education. She enrolled at Oklahoma City University, where she deepened her artistic and academic pursuits and earned her Master’s Degree in 1999.
